It's that time of year again. Cheesy holiday cards, big red chocolate hearts, and anxious first dates. If you're anything like me, you may be known to roll your eyes at the whole overproduction of the day. I've also had my share of adoring the perks of the holiday and being specially cared for by another. I've shared the day with friends laughing over dinner and drinks, watching movies in sweats, and eating allll the chocolate. I've been in relationships and I've been single.
I've been a fan of Elegantees for quite some time now. They are a an ethical and fair trade clothing brand employing overcomers of sex trafficking in Nepal, and they make the best pieces perfect for every wardrobe. They reached out to me to style one of their new pieces and I had so much fun - even though it was only 10 degrees that day. Gotta love the midwest! I had a blast with Christian and Jenee for their Pamperin Park winter engagement session. We had the most perfect weather we could ask for. There was freshly fallen snow, temperatures in the mid 30s, and the sun popped out to shine. Engagement sessions are some of my favorite things to photograph. It gives me the chance to get to know a couple before their big day, and likewise, it allows the couple to become more familiar with me. Cause lets be real, being photographed by a
My word for 2018 was motion. Move from where I am, to where I want to be. Choosing motion helped me get out of the house. Embrace more moments in nature. Take on less work so I could find a healthier pace.Exercise and work out more. Deepen my friendships. Take risks in my business for the sake of at least moving. But motion didn't teach me to move fast. It taught me how much I valued slowing down. And living in small steps.
So what's my word for 2019 you ask? ....delight. I
Happy Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for. I'm incredibly grateful for the couples and families who I have had the opportunity to photograph this year. I have had such a wonderful time with so many of you this year celebrating beautiful wedding days, and magical family milestones. You are not just my clients, you are my friends. And I'm so thankful for the work I get to create with all of you. Thank you for letting me do what I love, and for entrusting me with you
Fall happened so fast this year, but I'm so glad I got to spend time with this sweet family and still get the last of the season's golden colors. Their kiddos made me laugh so much throughout their session with their fun personalities and joyful spirits. I just love getting to capture beautiful families like the Pausmas! #kyraranephotography #appletonweddingphotographer #authenticweddingphotographer #appletonfamilyphotographer #midwestweddingphotographer
Aaron and Kristin had such a beautiful fall wedding! The two first met through eHarmony. After messaging back and forth for a few weeks, Aaron finally asked her out so they could meet in person. So over coffee at the Little Red Mill, where they could enjoy conversation and the outdoors together, they had their first date! Followed by many, many more. "No matter what we do, from grocery shopping to kayaking, we just have fun together!" And now they are MARRIED! And I couldn't
Connor and Lexi are such a sweet couple. I had so much fun getting to know them during their session, so many smiles and laughter. We had a great time at 1000 Islands, enjoying the fall colors and river views. And we incorporated their love for the Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go! Congratulations on your engagement you two! I am so excited for your wedding next summer. #kyraranephotography #wiscsonsinengagement #appletonweddingphotographer #authenticweddingphotographer #bestwis
Joe and Marissa are MARRIED! What a beautiful celebration their wedding day was. Even though it poured in the morning, the weather lightened up just in time for clear skies the rest of the day. They had their first look at Marissa's mom's house, and photos with their wedding party in the big backyard beneath the willow tree. Sepia Chapel made for the perfect venue to host their ceremony and reception, and celebrate with the best of friends and family. It's always a favorite w
