I just got back from one rocking East coast adventure. I attended the What's Next Getaway with the AMAZING Justin and Mary. They opened up their beautiful New Haven home to twenty boss ladies, and we all got cozy by the fire as we shared our business experiences from 2015. We opened up about what worked, what didn't, our fears, and our 'big hairy audacious goals' for 2016. We had two guest speakers. The first was Kat Schmoyer of Dear Sweetheart Events and founder of Creative At Heart Conference. You guys, this gal has spunk, joy, and a whole lot of bravery. She was such an encouragement in sharing how to punch fear in the face to pursue your dreams. The second was Kim Butler of The Whiteboard Room. What a joy! She has such a passion and talent in helping others to create goals that push us towards our purpose. Kim kicked us off on our 2016 goals and it felt awesome to leave the event with my feet walking in the right direction. We ended the night with smores, wine, and what's a getaway without a Riff Off?!! It was a long, motivating, restful, and fulfilling day! I met some crazy talented and passionate ladies, and wish them all the best! They are going to rock 2016!!
Thank you again Justin and Mary for your encouragement, teaching and passion to see other creatives succeed. You guys rock! Check out their full recap to read more about the What's Next Getaway!
Before our East coast adventure ended Karl and I decided to be tourists and bop around Manhattan! We visited Rockefeller Plaza where we enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations, a chili dog, and impressive Salvation Army bell ringers. Seriously, I feel like the NYC bell ringers hold auditions because these folks have talent in dancing and ringing! We walked to Times Square and visited a few shops where we found some Packer ornaments in a Christmas store! We ended our magical trip at an Irish Pub where we enjoyed a Quesilla and a nice cold beer. A perfect ending, am I right?
It was an amazing few days and here are a few images taken on my phone highlighting a bit of our East coast adventure - enjoy!!
