The sun began waking up the earth with golden light for our Plamann Park session. We found hills to climb, bridges to cross, and swings to swing on. Little Linus hung close to his mom and watched with excitement as his dad played the harmonica.
The Reiser family was so much fun to document, and as Linus got used to me and the camera, he overflowed with smiles and chatter. And harmonica playing of course! At the time of our session, the Reiser family was still expecting and Linus was waiting to fill his role of big brother. They recently welcomed a sweet little girl to their family, and I know Linus is a wonderful big brother.
My favorite photos are the ones unplanned and unprompted. The natural interactions. I think we forget how special the simple moments are, and that's what I love about photography. Reminding you of moments you might not remember if it wasn't for a photograph to keep it. Little moments too valuable to forget. The way little hands held in yours, little curls would blow in the wind, and the way eyes would squint when laughter would overcome. The moments you'll remember fondly in the years ahead.
