Love at first...text.
Jason and Abby met through a mutual friend and after a night of texting, they made plans to get coffee the following day. After their first date at Seth's Coffee in Little Chute, Abby called her friend and said, "I know this sounds weird, but I think I just met my husband."
And boy was she right! On their one year anniversary, Jason suggested they go back to where they had their first date - where Abby thought Jason would propose! But when it didn't happen there she just assumed another day then. They spent that night putting up Abby's little Christmas tree and happily setting up Christmas decorations around the apartment. After everything was done Jason aid to Abby, "I actually have an ornament for you!" Jason covered Abby's eyes and continued to put the ornament on the tree as calm and collected as he could be. When she opened her eyes, Abby saw the ornament was a big ring box that was engraved with, "Abby, will you spend the rest of your life with me?" The shock and excitement took over them both as they just laughed and hugged. They couldn't believe it, they were getting married!!
Cheers to good friends, good instincts, and good coffee!! Cause here we are, celebrating Jason and Abby's wedding day! And what a day it was. Filled with so much joy and laughter, Jason and Abby were surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Everyone who shared stories and toasts throughout the day had so many great things to say about the couple. One of my favorite things that was shared was the honor and integrity Jason lives out. His best man shared how Jason wanted a Bachelor's party that honored and celebrated marriage, even before being married, cause he believed his commitment began when he asked Abby to marry him. So instead of the typical, Jason and his men headed off to Colorado where they hit the slopes, white water rafted, and practiced hot yoga. All the while focusing on the marriage journey ahead. I love how much these two value their marriage, and have picked people in their life that will help them live that out. They both know that God has been preparing each of them for each other their entire lives, which makes spending the rest of their lives together to fulfill God's plan for them so important and special.
Their favorite meal to make and enjoy together is breakfast. They love to work out and be active, go to church, and explore new places. Jason loves Abby's positive energy, her ability to believe in others, and her love for Christ. Abby loves Jason's goofiness, his drive to be better, his smile, and his belief in others and God.
Their love for each other glowed all throughout the day. From their first look as they made wedding vows, till their first dance as husband and wife. Swaying and twirling to Ruelle's 'I Get to Love You,' these two are beginning one beautiful adventure together.
