It's the start of November and while our presidential campaign will soon be coming to an end, a very different campaign that is near and dear to my heart is just beginning. Dressember.
For a second year, I am accepting the challenge to wear a dress every day of December to advocate for all the women who are being exploited.
Alongside thousands of other individuals, we will be wearing a dress to raise awareness on human trafficking, and fundraising to help organizations like IJM and The A21 Campaign rescue and restore victims of modern day slavery. Last year we raised $924k!
Dressember is so much more than a dress, it's a movement. A community of passionate individuals who are locking arms to face one of the greatest injustices of our time. By choosing to wear a dress, we are advocating for the freedom and inherent dignity of all women, and supporting the abolition of modern day slavery! This year, our goal is raise $1.5 million.
I've joined a small but mighty team of passionate women, and together we'll be raising funds as we dress for justice. If you want to join our campaign, you can contribute here.
"Clothes aren't going to change the world.
The women who wear them will."
