I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life, and while I often dream of getting away from the winter wonderland I have always called home, I might admit I absolutely love photographing in winter. So when my dear friend asked me if we could do pictures the next time it snowed, I couldn't wait! There is simply something so magical about a blanket of snow. So the moment we saw flurries in the sky we made this super fun winter portrait session at Pierce Park happen.
Erin is one of those people who upon meeting instantly makes you feel like you belong. Being a wife, mother of four, and a spectacular writer, she's one of the most genuine people I know who doesn't shy away from sharing all about real life.
And the truth is, real-life can pass us by quickly. We too easily can forget to pause, and take the time to celebrate the people we are continually becoming. So sometimes you just gotta take a morning to yourself and be a kid in the snow, and capture the wonderful person you are today.
And speaking of snow, if you're looking for something to do on the next snowy day. Check out Erin's recent novel Immortal Blooded. You're guaranteed to get hooked, and join me in anticipating book two!
