Every time I begin a family session, I always try to shoot with the end in mind.
To when the kids are grown, what moments will everyone reach for to reminisce with. What photos will get passed around the dinner table and get the most laughs. "Just look at this photo!" everyone will say. What captures will best tell their story.
Cause I know that's what I appreciate most about all of my old family photos. The ones where no is looking or someone's crying, those are some of my favorites cause they are so real and so honest. So that's my approach. I still get the "Everyone look over here and smile" but I really target it on the in between to showcase the true personality of everyone involved.
I hope you're ready for some cuteness overload! I photographed my cousin's family at the land their family's logging business is on, and I just love the rustic and carefree this session brings. We had so much fun, and I loved spending time with these kiddos.
Mom and dad need to have fun too!
The whole family!
It's always fun to play at grandpa's!
Sweet baby Dawson!
I absolutely adore this shot of these three! So much personality.
