John + Ali's wedding day was nothing short of lovely.
The two met in Cambodia serving as full time missionaries, Ali teaching in an international school and John working as the Director of Operations for Agape International Missions, an anti-human trafficking organization. Friends and family from all over the globe traveled to celebrate the two, and it was such a blast to be a part of. Their pastor from their Cambodian church was even able to officiate their big day.
To the sweetest favors of honey and wildflower seeds, a few drops of rain, thoughtful gifts, endless dancing, and alll the smiles and laughter. So many precious moments were shared as they said 'I do!'
I first met John on a summer missions trip to Ghana, Africa nearly 10 years ago. Wow! Over the years we've kept in touch as his life took him to Cambodia to work with a non-profit, Agape International, to end human trafficking. It's been awesome to follow his work over there, especially when he met the wonderful Ali. When they reached out to me to photograph their upcoming wedding I was so delighted! Our first Skype call took place while they were still in Cambodia and immediately adored meeting Ali.
John and Ali compliment each other so well, and I think anyone who knows them can agree that just being around them does something for the soul. I had the best of time traveling down to Indiana to capture their big day and was extremely blessed by my time with them. I cannot wait for our paths to cross again sometime soon!

Favorite Thing About Each Other?
Ali: John's positive attitude and willingness to take anything that comes our way. Couldn't have asked the Lord for a better friend to spend the rest of my life with.
How Did He Ask?
While Ali was home in the states John sneakily flew over too and SURPRISED her. I love how Ali shares the proposal below:
"Stepping out of the car, John and I made our way up the driveway. Naturally we walked towards the backyard and before I knew it, he was leading me into my family's gazebo tucked away near the woods. I admired the fresh paint and twinkling lights that were strung around the structure and couldn't help but giggle with nerves and excitement as John's smile grew bigger and bigger. Sitting by a small, gray bench was a small, navy box. The next few seconds are a blur to be honest. I could not wait to answer his question!
Finally, I heard him ask, "Alexandria Kay Dunn, my beloved, will you marry me?"
With bursting joy I responded "Yes!" and then a "Finally!"
