No tornado could stop these two from saying 'I do!'
I may have been crazy for driving through the storm this particular Saturday. My husband suggested I wait it out, but I did not want to miss a beat. I packed up early and left the darkening skies in my rear view mirror, and made it just in time.
We waited out the sirens in the basement, and I got right to work. That' the thing about hiring a professional wedding photographer, you don't have to worry about how to handle day of hiccups like rain, unexpected delays, and yes even tornadoes. We got it all covered!
And when it was all was said and done everything turned out wonderfully! I don't think we would've changed a thing. Friends and family came from near far to celebrate, and the most important thing was Jenee and Christian got married!!
I love all the special details their wedding day had. Like the Wishing Well Jenee's great-grandfather made for her in 1997 to collect cards on her wedding day, and how Jenee's bouquet was wrapped with both of her grandma's wedding dresses. Or the sweet toasts shared by their family and wedding party. And the beautiful wooden spoons Jenee's grandfather hand-made for the wedding guests.
Their wedding day was so special and I'm grateful I could be a part of it. And at the end of it all, the sun decided to shine, and we had a glowing sunset to enjoy on the rooftop. It truly was a lovely day.
