Hey there! Goodness, it's been awhile. Thought it was time to check in and give a lil update.
There's been a lot of transition and change for us (in case you missed it, I got accepted into my top grad school program and we moved to Nashville, Tennessee last August). And after 6 months I think we've finally settled into a new normal here. We unpacked our last box a few weeks ago, and we officially became Tennesseans (we've got the drivers' licenses and library cards to prove it!). Dobby loves his new window views and making his rounds to overlook his kingdom. And we FINALLY got dining chairs and hosted our first official dinner guests.
We're really missing our friends and family, but boy we're loving getting to know our new city. And building a community that, slowly but surely, makes Nashville feel more like home each new day. Also, this is the BEST winter EVER. We have no complaints about the 68 degree day we had today - I mean, we almost considered jumping in the pool.
I'm absolutely loving my program. It's nerdy to say, but each week I really look forward to my classes and leave feeling so energized. I've never loved school this much, and it's a thrilling thing to be experiencing. I can't wait for all the opportunity and growth that is ahead.
So with that, we not only relocated to a new city and state, but I've made quite the career change going back to school. And I'm often asked what that means moving forward for Kyra Rane Photography business.
So let's answer some of that shall we?
Are you still doing photography?
Now that I have had time to settle in, I'll be able to take on a limited amount of sessions per month. Yaay!! You can browse the galleries to get a feel of my style. I'm so excited to photograph couples, family, newborn, and business branding shoots again.
Contact me for more information on session details.
Can I still book you for my wedding?
Even though I have decided to no longer take on weddings under Kyra Rane Photography, joining the Shaunae Teske Photography team as an Associate Photographer has allowed me to still photograph weddings in Tennessee while in school. I'm so glad I can be a part of wedding days and still cater to my new school schedule and clinical commitments.
Will you do any sessions back in WI?
While I do have a few weddings in WI I'll be traveling back for, I'm no longer booking anything new in Wisconsin. This may change, so make sure you like our Facebook page to stay up to date on any Wisconsin session offerings in the future. I'll only offer a limited amount of slots, and it will be first come first serve. So go ahead and give us a like if you haven't already, and you won't miss out.
What's the future of Kyra Rane Photography?
I'm not quite sure what the future holds. I'm not quite ready to completely close up shop, and I don't think I ever will. I love being an Associate to keep me in the photography world. And I always enjoy photographing families, couples, and business branding needs. So for now, that what I'm saying yes to and allowing everything else to unfold as it is. It may look a little different, but I'll never not have a camera with me.
