Last week I had the great privilege to attend a local workshop for creatives at Feather and Bone Gallery in the Draw. I had been looking forward to this workshop all week long, and was so excited to spend time out my head learning from others and getting some new creative juices flowing.
And it was everything I could've imagined it could be!
As a small business owner who works from home, it's too easy to get stuck in the mindset that a successful business is all hustle. I quickly found though that that road only leads to burnout, and you can't run a profitable business when you have nothing to give. It can feel so overwhelming and lonely trying to get out of this rut, and figuring out what to do next. How to find balance.
The Kreativ workshop was exactly that. Learning how to efficiently work hard in your business, and know what you're working so hard for, and tips on how to make the time for much needed self care.
From a unique water color class to help refocus and relax, priceless blogging tips to jumpstart more bookings, and business basics that will keep my business profitable - the Kreativ workshop was filled with everything needed to kick start my upcoming wedding season with a more balanced mindset. Colleen, Shaunae, and Alyssa care so much for helping other creatives find balance and success in their businesses, and it was so fun learning from them!
This day was one for the books! I'm so thankful to have been surrounded by other creatives, learning from them, and doing something fun for myself!
Ebb & Flow Flowers provided beautiful tulips and a hanging table-scape for the day that brought such a calming vibe to the whole space
One of my favorite parts of the day was the water color class! I had never practiced water color before, and while my skills can probably be found in other ways, this was such a fun thing to do to relax!
After our water color class each, attendee got some fresh and new headshots taken! Weathered Wisconsin provided the most perfect backdrop for us to use too!
After lunch we had two sessions. Shaunae shared about blogging and Instagram, and Colleen shared some awesome business basics!
We were all gifted with some serious sweet swag from Jenna Kast Studio, Ooh Shiny Art Glass, and Grandma Skills, Not to mention the cutest succulents in teacups that we could take home!
This lady!! Cann't say enough about Shaunae. From mentoring sessions to workshops, I'm so grateful to have this sweet soul in the industry championing me along!
Thank you Shaunae, Colleen, Alyssa -
and all the vendors - for providing this wonderful workshop!
