Curt and Karen met in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on a missions trip through a college ministry. The first time they talked was on their first day of work at a beach rental reservation job. Eventually, their friendship turned into a little bit of something more spending many, many miles on the weekends visiting each other as they navigated long distance for a few years.
Last summer, Curt took Karen to the very spot they had their first date and asked her a pretty important question.
"He took me to the dock where we had our first date in Madison. I don't remember anything he said because I was so happy, but he had a recorder in his pocket so we could listen to it later! He knows I love documenting our relationship so that meant the world to me!"
Isn't that the sweetest? And now they are MARRIED!! No more long distance, no more sad goodbyes. These two are husband and wife!
I can't explain what a joy this wedding was to be a part of. So much love, so much beauty. I ADORE these two, and they're exactly the reason why I love being a wedding photographer so much. Making friends out of clients, and capturing love that has such depth, purpose, and sincerity. Their wedding day was filled with so much joy, surrounded with dear friends and family. And their reception was one for the books. From Alma Mater pride, to a Caribou coffee bar (yes, please!), and a surprise video from the groom - this was one wedding I will never forget celebrating.
Curt and Karen, I can't wait to see where life takes you both together. A little birdie tells me puppy fever is pretty high right now, so I can't wait to follow along on that adventure! :D
